In Fifth Grade at St. James School, we are committed to preparing our students to reach their academic potential while embracing the Gospel values in a warm and nuturing family environment. We stress RESPECT, RESPECT, RESPECT: Respect God, Respect each other, and Respect ourselves always.

Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to Fifth Grade!  This year will begin the preparation for and transition to Middle School.  Everything we do is geared towards getting the students ready.  We will work hard to do our part, but the students will need to in turn work hard to do theirs!  This includes listening and taking notes in class, writing down and completing homework assignments, asking questions when they need help, and participating in class.  The year will be challenging, there is no doubt, but it will also be a lot of fun!  Hopefully we will laugh a lot, not cry too much, and have a wonderful year!  We will respect each other at all times, and we will thank God and count out blessings every day.
